HEALTH AND SAFETY

The school has five well-equipped clinics with trained and registered medical staff and in-house doctor who provide every school child, access to reventive and curative health-care services in order to maintain their well being. The clinic monitors and records the health status, growth and development of every student regularly. Detection of early signs and symptoms of diseases and health problems, First Aid and Emergency Care provided to students is also monitored and recorded by the clinic. The school also has a dedicated dietician who advises students on healthy eating habits and balanced diet.

Note: Any child coming to school after a prolonged illness must submit a copy of the medical report to the clinic on the day of rejoining school.

Security System

Student security in school is of paramount importance. Hence to achieve our aim of providing maximum security, we have taken the initiative to
create a secured environment.

• CCTV surveillance for the campus
• RFID security card for students
• Biometric system for student identification

Students are given a unique ID card, (RF-ID Radio Frequency ID) which he/she will wear from the time the student boards the bus until they leave (disembark) the bus. The students' ID card gets activated in the bus and inside the complete school area.

Students have to report immediately about lost, damaged or card not working cases to the RFID Centre. A nominal charge is levied to replace lost cards.

It is mandatory for students to carry their RFID card to school every day. Incase the card is damaged/lost/misplaced, the biometric system ensures tudent identification. The advantages we perceive is that, we check on the student attendance and we are able to keep a vigilant eye on our children. CCTV surveillance has been incorporated in areas which are seldom used/ open areas, and is monitored. This is to ensure the security and safety of students. Payments are made through the RFID card once the card is topped up with the minimum required amount.

A large fleet of air-conditioned buses are in operation for students from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman & Umm al Quwain. Students can avail transport facility subject to availability of seats. Parents can check CLP for information on the routes. Note- Please check 'Rules and Regulations' section for the School Bus Rules.

Endurance and Fitness
Physical education is an integral part of the curriculum and the school provides various facilities like playgrounds, swimming pool and indoor sports arena, keeping in mind the comfort, safety and security of the children. School-wide fitness, health, and nutrition awareness programs are conducted on a regular basis as they improve the school climate by building "wellness" awareness. This program helps to build camaraderie among staff members and students and supports those trying to reach a weight-loss goal. Fitness Audits are conducted. Each member participating in the Fitness Audit receives an individual report, offering a clear view on his/her physical condition status with ecommendations. The school also has a Nutritionist on board to help guide with the correct diet plans and correct nutritional intake.

Canteen

The school has hygienic canteens to cater to the needs of the students. They offer a nutritious and well- balanced menu at an affordable cost.

Fire Drills
As a part of security measures to gear up students and staff towards a reasonable level of preparedness, the school has initiated fire drills. These create awareness amongst students and staff on how to exit the school quickly and quietly and assemble in pre-designated areas incase of any emergency. Fire drills are conducted in regular intervals. An emergency response team has been appointed for this purpose and clear exit plans have been created and posted in every classroom.

Clinic

The clinic caters to students' health and safety needs. Students' medical needs are attended to and they receive proper care and support in school or other school-related settings. This includes administration of emergency and prescribed medication. A doctor is also available during school hours. There are two well-equipped clinics in the school with full-time registered nurses and a full-time licensed physician who is in charge of both clinics. Clinics are located in both blocks which run in accordance to the regulations laid down by the health authority.
